Norway's best people

In Norway´s best, you get the opportunity to work in an innovative environment where there is a high pace and varied work tasks. The diversity of our organization contributes to creativity and innovation, which makes us proactive and committed and gives us an exciting work environment. The team spirit I experience in the organization is motivating and very important to me. I am proud and supportive of my colleagues and I am confident that they will do the same for me.
Line Irgens Skjerdal, Event Manager and sales coordinator
The nature and the wide range of activities to do in the area were the main reasons why I decided to come to Flåm, but the colleagues I met along the way and the professional opportunities I found at Norway’s Best AS are the reason why I decided to stay. I am delighted to be part of a tourism leading company that stands for its values with its commitment to a sustainable development of tourism and its contribution to the local community, while offering such a rich working experience in an international environment that will always make you feel at home.
Najim El Ouardi, Ass. Front desk manager
It is motivating to work in a company that is forward-looking and that dares to invest and take a chance, even in challenging times. We have varied and challenging tasks, so one never really gets bored. With beautiful mountains and fine nature experiences, it is often tempting to go skiing after work. I appreciate that Norway’s best is unbureaucratic and specifically that there is a short distance between us who work here and the management. It also means that we get involved early in the process on new development projects and other exciting processes. Diversity is important to me, and among colleagues here you will find both young and old, men and women and great people from many different countries.
Jostein Norheim, Pist machine operator
We can combine work with fun entertainment. In winter it is snowboarding, while in summer we go cycling and hiking in the mountains to find new places we can inform other adventure seeking people about. Myrkdalen is far away from the city’s loud bustle, where you can breathe fresh air and enjoy the peace. Colleagues, smiling and curious customers, good working conditions, communication skills between management and employees, attentiveness in all situations. And if something is not as it should be , our managment will always help us with dealing wih the problem calmly and with respect.
Evija Niedrite, Waiter
I have worked in the hospitality business my whole "adult life". I find it vibrant, diverse, creative, and always interesting. It is a great feeling, every time you come to work and make someone’s day a little bit better. When I decided to move to Norway in April 2012, looking for a job, tourism industry seemed to be a natural choice. I got my first job in Flåm as a receptionist in one of the hotels which was a good start, it gave me the opportunity to get to know the Norwegian work style and learn the language. I knew I wanted to move on with my career, and I saw opportunities in a large and developing company like Norway's Best. I wanted to join the team, continue to create great work, and grow by learning new skills in a successful company which has a set of great values, is committed to sustainability, gives the employees the guidance for their work and a sense of security.
