Fulfiling dreams - creating memories

Shaping the Future of Norwegian Tourism

Norway’s Best Group AS (NBG) is a leading Norwegian tourism group, with a portfolio that includes some of Norway’s most spectacular nature- and culture-based travel experiences. The group’s head office is located in Flåm, with additional offices in Myrkdalen, Voss, Bergen, and Narvik.

NBG aims to be at the forefront of integrated destination development, and today our business is built around year-round operations in Flåm, Myrkdalen, and Narvik. For more than 25 years, we have positioned Flåm—together with the Flåm Railway and the Nærøyfjord—as one of Norway’s most popular destinations. Since 2020, the ski and mountain destination Myrkdalen, including Myrkdalen Fjellandsby, has been part of the group. This powder paradise is home to the largest ski destination in Western Norway. In 2025, we acquired Narvikfjellet in Narvik and Polar Park in Bardu as part of our national ambition and our goal of becoming a consolidator within the Norwegian tourism industry. The company also operates activities in Aurland, Lærdal, Geiranger, and Oslo.

The group has a strong commercial division that markets and sells both its own products and those of other partners to guests all over the world.

NBG has annual revenues of more than NOK 850 million, employs over 500 full-time and part-time staff, and welcomes around 2 million guests each year. In addition to our destination development activities, the NBG group also owns the innovative company The Fjords, which offers unique zero-emission travel experiences on Norwegian fjords, as well as a 50% ownership stake in the iconic Flåm Railway

NBG is not only a tourism group—we are also a community builder. The outcomes of our operations include:

  • Profitable year-round tourism and hundreds of attractive full-time jobs

  • The creation of new businesses

  • Norway’s best year-round, integrated destinations

  • A strong tourism competence environment

  • World-class guest experiences

  • Attractive and vibrant local communities for residents

Norway’s Best Group AS aims to be at the forefront of sustainable tourism development and to contribute to a responsible and future-oriented tourism industry. We are committed to minimizing our environmental footprint and supporting local value creation. Our employees are at the core of our business, and we strive to create an inclusive, diverse, and equitable workplace with attractive employment opportunities.

Norway's best people_

In Norway´s best, you get the opportunity to work in an innovative environment where there is a high pace and varied work tasks. The diversity of our organization contributes to creativity and innovation, which makes us proactive and committed and gives us an exciting work environment. The team spirit I experience in the organization is motivating and very important to me. I am proud and supportive of my colleagues and I am confident that they will do the same for me.
Line Irgens Skjerdal, Event and sales coordinator
When the opportunity arose to work in Norway`s Best representing Myrkdalen on the international stage in skiing industry, I thought immediately that this is a great way to combine my hobby with a good work-life balance as well as sell a great destination. Having a very diverse working environment, with employees from all backgrounds and nationalities. This is what makes NB a unique place to work, as we are in the business of people and creating great memories that will last a lifetime for our customers. The enthusiasm and authenticity each person bring to the table is invaluable for us. The workplace is Fun & energetic! My colleagues irrespective of how long they have been working in the company have shown they can bring a vibrant working environment every day.
Derek Murphy. Key Account Manager
It is motivating to work in a company that is forward-looking and that dares to invest and take a chance, even in challenging times. We have varied and challenging tasks, so one never really gets bored. With beautiful mountains and fine nature experiences, it is often tempting to go skiing after work. I appreciate that Norway’s best is unbureaucratic and specifically that there is a short distance between us who work here and the management. It also means that we get involved early in the process on new development projects and other exciting processes. Diversity is important to me, and among colleagues here you will find both young and old, men and women and great people from many different countries.

We can combine work with fun entertainment. In winter it is snowboarding, while in summer we go cycling and hiking in the mountains to find new places we can inform other adventure seeking people about. Myrkdalen is far away from the city’s loud bustle, where you can breathe fresh air and enjoy the peace. Colleagues, smiling and curious customers, good working conditions, communication skills between management and employees, attentiveness in all situations. And if something is not as it should be , our managment will always help us with dealing wih the problem calmly and with respect.
Evija Niedrite, Waiter
I have worked in the hospitality business my whole "adult life". I find it vibrant, diverse, creative, and always interesting. It is a great feeling, every time you come to work and make someone’s day a little bit better. When I decided to move to Norway in April 2012, looking for a job, tourism industry seemed to be a natural choice. I got my first job in Flåm as a receptionist in one of the hotels which was a good start, it gave me the opportunity to get to know the Norwegian work style and learn the language. I knew I wanted to move on with my career, and I saw opportunities in a large and developing company like Norway's Best. I wanted to join the team, continue to create great work, and grow by learning new skills in a successful company which has a set of great values, is committed to sustainability, gives the employees the guidance for their work and a sense of security.
